Show Notes

I’d like to begin this episode by acknowledging the land that I am learning and living on is the traditional un-ceded, un-surrendered territory of the Algonquin Anishnaabeg People.

After 50 episodes of engaging with leaders across all professions and at all levels, Trench Leadership: A Podcast From The Front will use this special episode to discuss the science behind emerging leaders.

In order for leaders to understand what defines an emerging leader, we have to understand the basic concepts of how emerging leaders come to this point in their leadership journey.

And so, in this episode, you’ll hear from Annalise Schamuhn, an executive coach and leadership consultant, where we will discuss the official definition of what an emerging leader is, and compare this definition to our own.  We’ll offer our own leadership experiences from the perspective of Canadian Armed Forces Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Members.  Lastly, we’ll offer advice, inspiration, and practical tools for emerging leaders to put in their leadership toolbox.

Trench Leadership: A Podcast From the Front is humbled to have been listed in the Top 20 for Best Canadian Leadership-themed podcasts in 2021.
